Honest analysis
Most organizations can’t show you the whole picture before you invest. At Helikon, that’s our only job.
As independent evaluators, we believe science comes first, so we don’t take carry or equity for any diligence work.
As independent, third-party evaluators, we are omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, meat lovers, bodybuilders, bakers, brewers, a family of ranchers, and foodies, but what unites us is a love of technology, extensive expertise, and a job well done.
Built for data-driven decision making
-
Tech due diligence is key for any major investment, and for a technology-driven company it is often as important as legal considerations.
Our diligence offerings focus first on core technologies. Competitor analysis and economic evaluation can be added to give a full picture and context for a company’s technology.
Projects range from seven days to two months depending on depth, complexity, and requirements, and can include site visits as requested.
-
Environmental, Social and Governance reporting is becoming more and more crucial as investors begin to quantify sustainability. Helikon works closely with investors and companies to provide targeted ESG reporting across many tech disciplines (precision fermentation, cell-based meat, alternative proteins, molecular farming, carbon capture, and more).
-
Sometimes deep tech goes deep enough to warrant a general technology evaluation. We provide deep analytical expertise to evaluate proof of concept technology.
-
Ongoing technical evaluation is key to managing a thriving innovation portfolio. We review incoming tech decks and companies as well as benchmark existing portfolio companies and outline success metrics.
-
Having a firm technical grounding is key when it comes to entering a new area. Helikon provides seminars, workshops, fireside chats, and roundtables that bring bleeding-edge tech discussions to the right context.
“[Helikon] is extremely knowledgeable in all things related to cellular agriculture, from synthetic biology to cultured meat, and terrific at … providing technical expertise and communicating hardcore scientific topics.”
