Manny is a self-motivated biomedical engineer with multidisciplinary training in bioreactors, stem cells, and cardiac muscle engineering. Manny completed his dissertation work at Columbia University with a focus on stem cells & tissue engineering.

He is entrepreneurial minded and won the Columbia Biomedical Engineering Technology Accelerator award in 2021. He has 1 first author publication, 1 first author publication in submission, 1 first author manuscript in-prep, and 1 provisional patent.

His interest was pulled into the cellular agricultural space first after the unveiling of the Post burger in 2013 and reinforced after Modern Meadow’s ZOA fashion piece at the MoMA in 2017.
